Borey Art Centre was founded in 1991 as a radically new structure in the field of art and culture. It is a civil initiative realized by a group of like-minded persons whose aim was to built a HOUSE OF CULTURE with the doors open to creative initiatives. Borey responds to all the genres, trends and tendencies of art.
For 15 years of work, the Centre has organized 800 exhibitions and artistic actions, it has published hundreds of books; it keeps regularly literature parties, philosophic readings and presentations of books and magazines.
The main aim of Borey is to present a broad review of artistic and creative life, that is necessary for working out the criteria of evaluation of contemporary art.
We treat ourselves as mediators in the process of forming of the cultural habitat of the city.
